Blowing in the wind.

Clickychick had an appointment in Carlisle for late mid morning.  Our usual Wedenesday with Kanyl ins't happening as we have something else on.  So we all headed up to Carlisle then after lunch we made our way to Crummock Bank Farm.  Nowhere near Crummock Water incidentally.

The farm,very unusually for Cumbria has a field of Sunflowers.  What they do with the crop I don't know.  There are a number of possibilities as far as I can see, sell the seed for bird food, sell it for oil, make silage, feed the plants to stock untreated are some of my thoughts.  The only reason I have found is charity fund raising by donations and selling the flowers, a sort of cut your own.

The wind was quite strong and the flowers instead of facing the sun were leaning away and moving around quite a lot.  So I decided to try for a blip that illustrated that.
