Patterns on the stream

The weather today turned out a lot better than I expected from the weather forecast and I was able to get out and do some gardening in the sunny periods between the occasional showers.
We thought that we would go to the community library in the village this morning but after chatting with one of the team doing a very welcome big repair job on some of our roads, we decided to turn round and come home rather than risk a long wait to get home again.
I thought the concentric arcs of foam on the surface of the stream running through the wood was worth a blip. It’s just one pool that has them and the foam seems to be created by the water falling over a mini waterfall just 30 centimetres high.
