A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

1958

A bit of an odd-jobs and tidy day.  Finished the painting in the replaced-loo bathroom now we have a gap between guests, mowed the lawns in a gap between rain, got out all the garden railway rolling stock for a bit of a reassessment, and briefly looked through the old newspapers that had formed part of the insulation around heating pipes.

If nothing else, it informs us when the old, old, coal-fired boiler was in use given the papers ranged from 1958 to 1987 - which is later than I would have guessed but I can't see anyone adding insulation to pipes that weren't in use.

Meanwhile, it all seems to be kicking off with angry amphibians..
