Peace Doves

A new installation in Lincoln cathedral  by sculptor Peter Walker. over the summer people were asked to write a messages of hope, peace and love on these paper doves . I think the target was 10,000 but the installation now has 12,000 doves ! The installation is accompanied  with music by David Harper. But not today as it is graduation week for the university of Lincoln. 
I got in today because each month the cathedral runs a mindful Monday as it was raining when we started, so a quick visit to the Table for the nation and this artwork , the rain cleared and we did 2 laps of the cathedral, it should have been 3 which makes it a mile . 
Looks like I might be talking on one of these miles next year , subject to be decided .
