Fog in the morning, shadows in the early evening.
As forecast, we’d fog. The castle was shrouded in mist.
St Andrews University was making its mark on the town today. The hardware shop was busy - “our busiest week of the year” said the shop assistant; new students moving in to University accommodation and flats etc - often with parents, buying all sorts of stuff. We were in the shop for sugar soap and a sponge, and didn’t linger. My wife used both in the afternoon, our current house project is redecorating our downstairs toilet.
I chopped a few logs and prepared the dinner, and then we went for a local rural walk - the sun was out and throwing good shadows on the track at the field margin. Our stir fry was good.
