A good crossing, the only hiccup was with the computer system for passport control, there was quite a delay. Possible the same on the UK side, our house exchangers said there was a delay getting through. 

We are staying in a pleasant residential area where the car is parked ‘over there’, we can easily see it.  Most definitely an area for cyclists, I understand the town of Houten has won awards for the cycling system. 

We walked into the town centre later on, about fifteen minutes away, a sunny, warm evening. There is a small garden here with sparrows and great tits to entertain us.
