When needs must........

Not exactly the right lens to use for an insect close up (i.e. a Sigma 500mm telephoto prime) but we were out on a walk when this dragonfly passed us on the lane. It then rested on this branch, spreading its wings in the sun. A very quick shot and surprise on reviewing it in Lightroom that it was in focus and sharp across the body. Maybe I've found a new way of shooting insect close ups! More likely it was dumb luck on my part.

I've really appreciated all your comments over the last few days. I will catch up as soon as I'm back from Anglesey but with a very slow internet connection even the process of uploading an image is taking almost 20 minutes!
