Ponteysyllte Aqueduct

We all (including Pebble) braved the walk across and back, having to hug the railings (and Pebbie) in places as folk attempted to walk in the opposite direction.
The tallest navigable aqueduct in the world, 39m high, 307m long, holding 1.5 million litres of water.
Built 1795-1805 costing £38,500

In trying to photograph the aqueduct from bellow we spotted a very poorly looking bedraggled cat emerging from the undergrowth. After stopping the traffic several times I got him to safety.
Luckily he was chipped and 18yr old Murphy was reunited with his distraught owner at the local vet. Goodness only knows how he got swept downstream, never mind clamber out. Luckily he's home safe and sound.
