Across the Old Town

It’s been all about the weather! The cable car was shut because of the wind. It started raining and we sheltered under some awnings. The thunder and lightning and rain were incredible. We sat and watched. People were buying rain ponchos and rain coats. It rained for about 2 hours. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much water. The ground beneath our feet became a river. Then there were floods to wade through. Shops were flooded we were wet through. When it stopped we looked round a bit more of the old town. An interesting day for appreciating the elements.
