Following Harry Potter by accident

Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire provided a really interesting stop on our way from Cheltenham down to our holiday destination in Dorset. A fascinating place in a beautiful little village. This is the Chapter House (where the nuns were read a chapter of their rule book each day!). 

Unbeknownst to us the abbey has also provided some locations for the first two Harry Potter films including this room which is apparently where Harry finds the Mirror of Erised. 


It seemed fitting then that one of the terracotta statues in the great hall looked like Dumbledore (see extra)
