American Kestrel (Falco sparverius )

Emily wanted to go along to the Bradway "fun Day".  The weather wasn't very promising but off we went.  One os the stalls was being run by a firm called "The Aviary " offering bird handling holding experience.  Obviously E wanted a go so Clickychick and R both went in as well.

CC was holding this little American Kestrel.  They are very similar to our Kestrels, smaller and in the male, which this is, more grey particularly on the wings.  Emily and R had a Chaco owl from south America.

After this the drizzle increased so CC and I retreated to a local cafe.  The owner was pleased to see us as the food and drink stands on the Village Green were taking all her trade, we had the place to ourselves.
