The day started with stuffed piroshky from Pike Place Market for breakfast, before a quick walk around the stalls before heading, along with about 100,000 others, down to Lumen Fields, the home of the Seattle Seahawks. I have absolutely no idea about American football but Himself really wanted to see a game so got some (very high up in the stands) tickets as soon as he realised we'd be able to attend. As it turns out it was the first game of the season. I can't say I understood much more at the end than at the beginning but I do know the Seahawks won.

Four hours (elapsed, 60mins game time) later a quick trip back to the hotel to put some better clothes on then off to see the view from the Space Needle. The plan was to get there at sunset, which we made with about five mins to spare and the view was pretty amazing over Puget Sound and the mountains.

Our last day in the US ended with a pizza for me, the most enormous meatball sandwich for Himself and a locally brewed  "English style brown beer" (tasted more like a porter than anything else) in a quirky bar in what used to be a funeral parlour.

We have to navigate the US airport system tomorrow as we head a bit further north.
