Ladybird rocks!
Some sunshine today, a reversal of weather at home as an open air singing gig was cancelled due to the weather there and not great for the village annual show either.
To be fair it hasn’t been sunny all day here but it’s been very warm and quite muggy
We had intended going to the park this morning before Grace had to go for band call at the theatre. We were up late, yesterday Eda was excited to tell us her drama group we’re doing Wizard of Oz for next year's production so the girls stayed up to watch it.
After breakfast, during which Eda did her home work ( a printed book with number and language challenges in it.) Piper arrived from next door to play. They played for quite a while and then decamped next door to play at Pipers house. Grace went off and having brought the girls back for lunch they trotted off back again! So in the three days I’ve been on child sitting duties Eda has been off with one or another neighbours’ child each day!
After a while Eda reappeared saying she wanted to paint a rock. She got everything out to work on the terrace outside and Piper joined her. They had to be finished off inside as there was a sudden shower. Eda has made a ladybird and I love its smile!
( It does look a bit less garish now it’s dried)
I didn’t get off scot free as I had dinner to make. Mummy and daddy both reappeared as I’d just got it in the oven.
John’s has had a great time in Edinburgh celebrating his dad’s birthday and, in other news, Chris has got a first for his fuchsia ( it’s a standard) in the village horticultural show!
Everybody's happy!
