Fire over the horizon

This is what we saw of an event 40 odd km away which was needing the attentions of 79 firefighters, 24 vehicles and two aeroplanes. I happened to look at the ‘fires in Portugal’ app and realized that this one would probably be visible. Thankfully it’s not been a bad summer for fires so far.
