Road to Nowhere
Luckily I wasn't heading for Bro...pto.... and know the area pretty well.
This is testament to how much wildlife I spotted today.
It's been a long day in that sleep seemed to elude me last night but I totally missed the thunder and lightening that woke Hubs up. Not only did we have that but huge amounts of rain; storm and tempest without the Shakespearian death involved. It is in my mind to say, 'At this point' as when I did wake (after the sleep I swore I hadn't had) I heard dripping. On the carpet. Now....the roof had ostensibly been fixed (for the third time) only in late July. I leant over to put the light on but Hubs said that he'd put a towel under it, oh and by the way there was a power cut! It was mental torture.
Not being able to stand it I got my iPhone torch to have a look and then tootled downstairs knowing that I hadn't turned off my computer and new monitor. Unplugging everything I then hit the trip switch and we had power. Taking a cup of tea to bed after having dealt with the dogs, towelled dry the water/flood on the utility floor (not the roofers fault) I felt slightly victorious but banged off a message to the roofer (yes ok on a Sunday before dawn I get that ...so did he) Hubs is snoring at this point.
The roofer was round here quick sticks, has been most of the day, given up his Sunday and not charged us! He isn't sure that he's actually got it sorted but we shall see. Fingers crossed with more rain forecast.
Millie is getting naughtier .... oh yes she is and it's worrying
