Rustic gate
We have had a very lazy day so far today.
Just pottered around the site for a bit this morning and then gad a delicious Sunday lunch at Harry’s, the onsite bistro.
This afternoon we were going to go to Penmon lighthouse but there was a lot of mist and grey weather so we continued on to Llangoed in search of the remains of the only Motte and Bailey castle on Anglesey.
It was underwhelming in my opinion, very overgrown and not photogenic at all. Hubby seemed to enjoy reading about its 11th century history though. It was called Castell Aberlleiniog - Castle of the mouth of the Lleiniog.
I liked this quite rustic gate that was on the path to the castle.
We just got back to the car and it started to rain, so we headed back, not stopping at Penmon either. That might be my blip another day, although the weather is not looking too good for the rest of our time here.
