La Maison

Today has been long and tiring. We left our wonderful hotel, La Maison Olivier this morning an hour late thanks to my Apple i-phone. I set the alarm for 5.45am and was happily getting ready when I looked at my watch and saw it was 6.45am. My phone had not automatically updated itself!! In fact, it has only just done so.

We had arranged to be at our house for 1.00pm and thought it would be impossible. However, by driving exceedingly carefully, we arrived only 15 minutes late. Not bad seeing as it is a 440 mile drive.

Our tenants have been here for two months. A family of three from Prague, the daughter being only 9 months old! I wish I had a job which enabled me to take two months off work! A rather large house for a family of three, but the husband Tomasz must be the biggest person I have ever met, he is huge!!!! They are a lovely family, we waved goodbye and put the kettle on:)

We left sunny England and have now settled in to a cloudy French Riviera. The rest of the family arrive on Sunday and we are looking forward to a fun week with them.
