Harlequin

End of the season, almost. End of an era, almost.

She has served us well within the family since '95 and the time has come to sell it onto a (younger) boater. My dad has become less able to take her out, though he is doing remarkably well for his age on the wrong side of 82, and we have come to an agreement that she needs a bit of buffing up and some TLC (though one might say the Harlequin has been well & truly looked after anyway). We might see ourselves taking her out for a couple of farewell trips before the winter, but in between I will be popping in and out with bits and pieces that'll need touching up etc. This weekend for instance I have brought home all the brass work and wooden shelves that can be polished & varnished at work. Curtains next week perhaps?
