Professor Alice Roberts in Alcester

A great talk given by Alice Roberts at Alcester’s Greig Hall tonight to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Alcester History Society.

The Greig Hall was given to the local community by David Greig whose family business was a chain of supermarkets. It was packed.

Blip was of her signing book purchases. Looked to be doing a brisk trade.

Her talk was on Bones and Burials. We really enjoyed it.

Bowls started well this afternoon but after an excellent first eight ends I went steadily down hill. We were convincingly beaten but the grey, wet afternoon did not spoil things.
