Every dog will have his day
After a very lazy morning involving cups of tea I had an early lunch and then headed out in the continuing haar to see the annual fête at Roslin. I was hoping my former over-the-fence neighbour might be there. I spent quite a lot of time watching the dog show. They had several fun rounds, such as "dog with the waggiest tail", "dog with the best tricks" and "most handsome male dog". My brother took part with his labrador, who in turn tried his best to make friends with every other dog there.
Boy Wonder was there too, taking part with his dancing troupe. His speciality is street dance, which looked a bit like a hiphop sk8ter dude breakdancing the YMCA. The boy has some moves.
After a few more hellos to Mum and Dad who visited as well, and then watching the youth brass orchestra trying their hand at a few cool arrangements of things like Smoke on the Water, and after waiting for the last band to please finish tuning up and take the stage, I realised I was out of spoons, so I made tracks for home. I had another cup of tea and a snack, and then motored out in the fog to Mum and Dad's for dinner and the evening.
