Barmouth backblip 2

Holiday packing complete, we waited to hear from the garage. The parts required to fix the van arrived there a little later than expected, but they did at least arrive. The mechanics started work, but were having trouble changing the parts. Mid-afternoon we were still hopeful of travelling, but at 6.00pm came the call to say that the work couldn't be completed today. Rude words were uttered!

Plan C was hatched - first thing tomorrow, MrM will go into Huddersfield to hire a car. Phoned our accommodation again - we WILL be arriving tomorrow...

Very little food in the house, so we walked into Holmfirth for a meal, passing this on the way. It's one of many similar banners around the town this summer designed to give the place a more modern image, and to get away  (at least a little bit) from the town's association with the  Last of the Summer Wine.
