This weekend it’s Heritage Open Days and I joined a tour in Rochdale. This is the old Cargo Studios where Joy Division, OMD, The Fall, Echo and the Bunnymen and others recorded albums in the 70s and 80s when they were starting out. It’s a recording studio again now, Voltalab and still recording new indie bands.
