A Standard Saturday

Today was really just one of those pedestrian but useful days. I walked up the road to deliver a get well card by hand. After that, a quick shop for some top-up bits from Tesco, where I saw these gorgeous roses and stole a photo of them to blip. Then over to Boots to collect a prescription.

I did a couple of loads of laundry, and rather worryingly the tumble dryer wouldn’t start then flashed up an error code. When I looked it up, it said there was an electronic problem with the control circuit board which would need an engineer. Seeing as it’s now out of warranty, I shall get a recommended local domestic appliance repairer to have a look at it rather than pay a small fortune to Bosch. I think it’s probably a loose connection, because when I thumped the machine it started up and dried the washing with no further problems. However, I don’t want to keep using it like that in case it’s not safe so will get it checked out.

I’ve just taken down Mum and Dad’s old curtains in the main bedroom, and adjusted and put up the ones from my bedroom at the flat. I’m really pleased with how they look - another little step towards making the house my own.
