Battlebox

This afternoon I visited the Battlebox, the bunker that served as headquarters for the defending Allied forces against the invading Japanese army in the final days of the Malayan Campaign (8 Dec 1941 — 15 Feb 1942).

This is the Gun Operations Room, from which the searchlights and anti-aircraft batteries sited around Singapore were alerted to incoming enemy air attacks.
