Lunch time for Hunter and Holly.
The Feast Day of Saint Sozon. A shepherd and Martyr.
Today it is quite changeable weather. We have a pleasant temperature of 20c in the living room and 70f in the conservatory.
I have been getting on with our housework and drying clothes and doing the daily cat care routine.
The wind is strong and cold but when it settles down to a breeze, the sun is warm. The humidity is in the 80s, so it is really very close.
I went to Ray's on the High Street and bought pink acrylic wool for the granny blanket I am making. I crochet them for Happy Cats shop. Vet's bills are exorbitant. The Happy Cats charity in Accrington are overwhelmed with rescued cats and need funds to feed them. They fund raise via the shop and stalls at fayres and they have a stall in Asda. The cats are temporarily fostered by volunteers who care for the abandoned cats and kittens, until a permanent home is found.
Three new plants were delivered this morning, much to my delight. A variegated Holly called Osmanthus Goshiki, a Potentilla called Red Robin and a Choisya Scented Gem. It will have fragrant white flowers.
They came from Gardener's Dream based in North Lanarkshire in Scotland. www.gardenersdream.co.uk. Now I am going to re pot them into to 6 inch flowerpots, until they have grown a little bigger.
Enjoy your Saturday blip friends and thank you for visiting my site today.
