Meet Blue
Blue was a Christmas present. He was only about 8 weeks old when he came to live next door (so that must make him about 9 months old.)
He's exploring and learning. He wears a bell to try and alert the local fledglings, but it doesn't always work. His teenage owner, Caitlin, did say that they have had their fair share of feathers brought home. And I know he was the one who got the baby blackbird.
I went out to try and capture a photo of the visiting white butterfly
I will NOT be blipped !
when I heard some shuffling (and ringing) in the bush underneath the bird table.
It was Blue. And Cyd came on the scene.
There was a bit of hissing...... this one will run and run.
London yesterday was marvellous. Yes it was hot. But there was not an ice cream moment. No problem. Harrods was my highlight. Not just for the airconditioning and the Egyptian Staircase (which I HAVE to ride up and down).
I was having a very nice chilled Italian white in the bar in the basement and was talking to the sommelier (a lovely young lady from Quebec) when we were joined in our conversation by the gorgeous looking young man. He said that he was currently Don Giovanni in Aix-en-Provence and that the Royal Opera House had flown him and his wife (who was on the prowl with the credit cards) to London so that he could have a costume fitting for the opera he will be in next Spring.
He was gorgeous. I think I might just buy a ticket........
