Baking Babes

I'm so so behind on blip - it's felt hard to take pics this week. I'm looking forward to the routine of the kids being back in school (next Wednesday) & getting back into our more normal routine. 3 months of summer holidays is too much for us!! I'd rather the UK way of shorter summers and more regular breaks.
We found out who Nate's new teacher will be - we're delighted. A guy who used to teach sports and the school and was such an encouragement to Asha, I think Nate will do very well with him.
The kids and I baked a 'mystery' cake this afternoon. 'Mystery' because we don't use scales or a recipe, ha! We make it up as we go along. It was actually delicious, full of tea soaked fruits and nuts.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Seeing Marcial and Mathi after the Sa Penya meeting (that didn't happen). So good to reconnect after summer.
2) Baking with the kids. Don't do it often enough. 
3) Asha's delight at getting her first bank account opened this morning.
