Balance
Didn’t sleep very well after the events of yesterday, so it stood to reason that today was one of the rare days where I needed to be up early and out for a client meeting down in Birmingham.
Somehow I made it and after the majesty of the panoramic views from Kendal GC last night, I was brought crushing back to earth with this view from an industrial Birmingham. Life is nothing without balance.
I was lucky that the lady I was meeting, was perfectly charming and we had a nice discussion.
On a more positive note, the wee ones were back with me this evening and I was delighted to hear how their respective terms had started so positively. The Youngest is now serving out the last year of her sentence in primary school and I’m sure will be running the place like a mafia boss.
M’boy has made the leap into secondary school and judging by the way my phone has been pinging away with updates on merit points and so forth, he has clearly made a solid start - very proud!
The row with The Eldest reached a molten hot crescendo this evening, but I am pleased to say that we were eventually able to work it out and she’s coming round tomorrow for some tea.
See? Balance.
