Squawk!

These are very striking and common here in Funchal, Madeira. Bird of Paradise I believe.

A lovely first day here with a walk into town, nice lunch at the marina, and a hair raising bus ride back up the hill. The bus was really full and hanging on to an overhead strap was a physical challenge. Ha ha .
