We finally got to experience the delights of Allo Beirut tonight! I've only been wanting to check this place out for a few years! As you can see, friend Miriam is in town. We all love Lebanese and Wafi Gourmet was the first choice, but we changed to this outlet. A few people had already recommended it, so it was great to check it out, especially as we haven't been to City Walk since the Canadian University moved in, and the mall became paid parking! In fact, the last time we were there was when blast and rachelwhynot were in town (January 2023).

So, first impressions... it's big and very popular, even on a weeknight. Rami, our very confident waiter looked after us. It was his idea to have a picture with him in it!! The food was good. They boast the best shawarmas in town so of course, we had to verify that. They were GOOD, even offering a beef version. (The usual here is lamb or chicken).

We didn't stay out too late as Miriam needed to get back to her hotel. I wanted to get home to open a bottle of champagne to celebrate the fourth anniversary of my YT channel but it wasn't to be. We were all ready to go straight to bed.

And in the morning, G went to school without checking her phone first. Her little student decided he wasn't well enough to last a day, so she dropped me to work, and then spent the morning by the Creek, drinking coffee in Costa and eating an almond croissant all by herself! ;)))
