Natural Philosopher?

Deep in thought, this mare, so very beautifully coloured, was standing by the field fence as I was trying to do a photographic recce of a country lane near home.

The strong wind made the flower photos less than worth keeping, except as providing incentive and a list for a quieter day and a better lens. NB, must also purchase a Plamp!

I was struggling, she was contentedly speculating on what this human was so plainly not succeeding in. Or was she deep in thought on some equine philosophy or theology far beyond my understanding?
