Day 11: Tenterfield main street
Tenterfield is a small country town not far from the NSW/Queensland border. We walked along both sides of the long main road and found a number of interesting shops and shopfronts.
I was very taken by the school motto shown in the main photo. I hope it's true for every single child.
The exra brought less joy to me. The local federal member is a notorious, conservative, populist retail politician. He is simply referred to as 'Barnaby' by everyone. Just saying that name very often evokes groans of despair. He does entertain but gets himself into all sorts of strife. The locals obviously like him though.
