I could do with a fan that size with this heat
John Webb's Mill was built in 1804 for John Webb, a local farmer and landowner. The windmill was constructed to satisfy the increasing demand for flour both locally and in London. It was constructed using local materials, with timber from two local farms and the bricks were made at a nearby location in the Chelmer Valley also owned by John Webb.
The large parish church of St John, built between 1340 and 1510, is renowned for its flying-buttressed spire, which is 181 feet tall and is the only medieval stone spire in the county. The church, which stands on a hill and overlooks the town, is often referred to as "the Cathedral of Essex"
