Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2024 Tuesday — Potluck

This is the season of “stone” fruit here on California’s Central Coast. So peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, cherries, and so on are available. For several months we have been enjoying a fruit salad every morning with our breakfast. The past several weeks the addition of a diced peach or nectarine has been wonderful. I thought these three nectarines were quite beautiful.

The poem was shared by the Renee, the daughter of our friends Keith & Pam. Renee’s only daughter, Haylee and Haylee’s fiancée, Josh, and their 3 month old son Ace, were all killed in a head-on automobile crash several months ago. I cannot begin to imagine Renee’s grief. I think the poem she shared was poignant and powerful. The poem’s title is “Find Me There” by Sara Rian.

The third part of my photo was simply a “thinker” for me. If we knew how much others admired us, much of the self-doubt would dissolve. Food for thought.

Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
