Chamber

A day of chambers - this the view from the central chamber of Widehill Chambered cairn. A fantastic Neolithic burial mound, which was excavated in the 1920s and now open for visitors. There is a ladder down into the burial chamber where it is possible to slide into the side chambers. Excellent site. And then this morning it was the Council Chamber of Orkney Islands Council for a seminar with the councillors. Which was impressive and interesting in its own right. Definitely a day of two chambers. Home tomorrow!
