Earlier that Same Day
Departed Forres after another bout of Moray hospitality. Mona and Sandy will be travelling up to the isles in two weeks time, so we can reciprocate.
Last night we watched a film featuring Margaret Lockwood, she endlessly applied layers of paint to a door. She did little else. However, for director Alfred Hitchcock 'The Lady Varnishes' was the film that catapulted him to Hollywood. It didn't have a good finish.
The usual litany of littoral locations gradually melted into the day's scenery, Nairn, Inversnecky, Dornoch, Port Gower, Helmsdale, Dunbeath. We saw a sign for Goole and realised there may have been a shift in tectonic plates.
Arriving back at Creel HQ, late evening stars are out. It's already all systems go to host a night of Science based fun in the Hoy Kirk on Friday.
I didn't do any ironing today.
