iPhonography
On Sunday our grandson James has his birthday party - he will be 11 and had just started year 6 at primary school. We met up with James, our daughter and his sister for coffee and cake in Coffee #1 where James identified my new iPhone and pointed out all the differences between it and his earlier version (he has his father's previous phone) What followed after that was a fascinating and wide ranging discussion on:
the location of Singapore, why does Greenland look bigger than Australia on Google maps, the origins of WW1, the Ottoman Empire, and the importance of Minorca in the Napoleonic wars ....
For 11 he's really quite sharp!
There are serious restrictions on screen time in their house .... he does read books and play football, climb and generally run about too.
