Uncoupling

Busy day with a trip to the gym before a trip to the dentist for a check up. Always a relief to be told all is fine. Just time for a quick walk before lunch. 

Then a drive to York hospital to see Richard’s renal consultant. On arrival we were told his appointment had been cancelled! Neither of us had been informed and the ladies on the desk were rather puzzled. However all credit to them they persevered and went to discuss the problem with the consultant. We were told Richard could be seen. The upshot being we ended up being seen ahead of schedule. Pleased it worked out considering the distance we travel.

Grabbed my blip on the morning walk. I heard the deep whistle of Eric Tracey as it approached the station. This is just as the engine is uncoupled before being switched onto the other track to get to the other end of the coaches for the return journey.
