Cardinal Richelau
This is one of the very old variety of Bourbon roses. The flower period is brief and you only get one round of flower, but it's so beautiful when there. Having now had a camera for 2months I'm starting to bravely get out of auto : this is my first go at adjusting the aperture to get a true colour. My camera doesn't do well with reds in auto : they bleach out. So this is much truer, I think : well done me. The roses are all nearly over, so you'll get other things soon. I so enjoy prowling the garden, once I'm on the move, to delight in what's around.
