Just the ticket

Planned to go on hike today but got up to wet miserable morning so decided not to. I took Hetty out for first walk as hubby didn’t fancy it. We then did jobs around the cottage, and a bit of paperwork. Thought we would try a new venture in the village so went long for coffee, but unfortunately won’t be going back. Nice atmosphere, hubby reported good chocolate shortbread but coffee was like having a cup of hot sweet milk, no idea how they managed it.
Put a telescope on village face book page yesterday and had a very quick response, she was coming round last night to pick it up but cancelled, then said she would call at ten this morning, then cancelled. We then agreed she would call at some point today and let me have a time later. Nothing so will be taking to charity shop next time in Hexham.
Settled down with book and coffee and hubby thought a fire would be nice, not needed for heat but felt comfy.
Hetty and I managed to get a dry walk just before dinner.
