We made it!

Well I have to say that hubby was a star as he insisted on doing all the driving through the night and did a great job. The kids slept solidly until 7.30am and I think they only woke as we stopped for petrol and coffee. We finally got home at 10am and it was lovely spending the rest of the day gradually unpacking, dozing, playing, washing and being back in our own home.
Olivia knew she had lots of birthday presents from friends and family to open when we got back as we couldn't possibly fit them all in the car to take with us, but she was very patient and waited until late afternoon after Daddy had a chance to get some sleep.

Holiday memories

* Cycling for all of us. This was one of my favourite activities and we were especially impressed with Olivia's ability on the bike.
* The beautiful weather.
* Walking around barefoot.
* Swimming pool fun.
* Crepes and ice creams.
* Rolling down the sand dunes.
* Collecting shells.
* Watching the children play and make new friends.
* Late nights.
* Lazy mornings.
* Eating all meals outside.

If I'm being honest there were also horrendous tantrums from Dexter, rudeness from Olivia (who is practising for when she's a teenager) and I had the frizziest hair imaginable, but I'm happy to gloss over all that and just write about the good bits!
Must get my hair sorted out though.
