We're not there any more for sure.

The flight from Edinburgh to Mallorca was meant to leave at 10.35am but due to a crew member turning up late we weren't actually able to board until nearly 11.30am. And then ...the captain announced that due to massive storms in The Balearics and general air traffic control restrictions we were gonna have to sit on the plane waiting to be allowed to take off for another two hours. End result was arriving at Palma airport over three hours late but at least I finished my book and I'll stick in a compensation claim too so let's see how that pans out eh?

Managed to get out the airport probably quicker than I've ever got out of an airport in my life however (10 minutes from getting off the plane and through customs and a toilet stop included and to the door marked 'Salida' - some kind of record!) and straight on to a local tib bus to Alcudia, then after a mere 10 minute wait, another local bus to where we're staying near Port De Pollenca. 

We're in a hotel resort place on an all-inclusive deal for 6 nights, we've never done this particular kind of holiday before but I think I'm gonna enjoying not doing very much for the next few days . Got here too late today to soak up any rays or swim in any of the pools but the evening has passed by quite happily with  drinks, food and alfresco backgammon. Currently on my terrace in a very pleasant 22° at 11.28pm with a quite impressive lightning display going on over the Mediterranean.
