Echinacea Mirabilis
We somehow spent the morning faffing about, mostly in the garden in my case, before heading for a swim when the pool opened at 12.
This afternoon we had more garden waste to take to the tip along with items culled during Tess’s recent kitchen de-cluttering, then did some food shopping in preparation for visitors at the weekend.
A bit of a late emergency blip of the garden, trying out the Bold Art effect on the camera which I’d forgotten was there. The flowers above the echinacea are Mirablis Jalapa, aka Marvel of Peru or 4 o’ Clocks because the flower comes out late afternoon/ early evening.
In extras, following on from yesterday, there’s another one of Sophie, this time in her school uniform, ready for her first day in Year 5 this morning. Can’t believe that in two years time she’ll be starting Secondary School - where has the time gone?
