A taster of a winter sunrise
When I got up this morning, there was just a taster of what will soon enough be the balcony sunrises. A sure sign of winter. The light was attractive enough to photograph.
A very long day with my first meeting starting at 8.30am, and the last one finishing after 5pm, and few breaks in between. Shortly after dispatching the last person from my office, I walked down to Waverley where I met Mr A who was awaiting the on time arrival of N's train from Leeds. He was on a cross country train that had come all the way from Plymouth and arrived thirty seconds early. Wonders!
We wandered home on foot and bus, dropped stuff and then headed to the Malt and Hops for what N called "a loosener". A first pint of Extra Black for N (a second one followed in The Vaults) and my first pint of EB for quite some time. Dinner in The Vaults (obviously....), and a purchase of whisky was made by Mr A. N really enjoyed the clubbish atmosphere of the place and the impressive array of whiskies and would have bought a bottle (for us to bring up to Tain in due course, if they had had what he decided he would like). Mr A and N had a dram. I did not.
Headed home and I dropped into bed almost immediately - with another early start looming.
