Chilling

Benno was, not me. I had a difficult day.
Late last night,  just before bedtime,  I banged my left little toe against the sofa. It did neither feel nor look good (pointing to the side).

I straightend it, connected it with an elastic band to the next toe to stabilise it and was cooling it for hours. Slept two hours or so. More or less.
Going to work was more than difficult and painful,  but the plan was seeing an orthopedic in Kaiserslautern for an x-ray.  I called all of them within short distance from my work, no chance.
Finally, in the afternoon,  I got one on the phone and now I have an appointment Thursday morning. Working from home or calling in sick tomorrow,  whatever is necessary. 
I didn't get much done at work, as you can imagine. The short walk in the morning from the bus to work was the worst part - don't ask.
A colleague gave me a ride to the train station after work. I'm done with the world for today. Bruises and scratches on the right from my fall on Sunday, the constantly hurting right knee and now perhaps a broken pinky toe on the left. It's hard to keep upright. 
I'm sitting here laughing now (honestly), nothing else possible.

What in the world is the universe trying to tell me?

I spare you a photo of my little injuries and still hope,  the toe isn't broken. But the way it looked.... (but straight again now). I'll know Thursday.
