Tenuta San Leonardo

After a lovely breakfast sat outside with our friends we set off on a three and a half hour drive to Tenuta San Leonardo in the Trento valley.

The journey was stressful because there were so many lorries on the motorway between Milan and Verona. When we arrived we were met by our ex student who we hadn’t seen for 28 years. Since finishing university he has worked with his father to develop the winery. There is now a museum too outlining the amazing history of this old monastery. It was great to catch up and chat about the old days.

We’re now camping further down the valley ready for an early start tomorrow to avoid the traffic.
