Afternoon Look at the Shoreline
When we woke this morning about 6:00, the lack of fog and overcast sky was an indicator that this was going to turn into an absolutely breathtaking day, and it certainly did. For most of the day, there were very few clouds in the sky.
I guess we could call this "Task Day." Mr. Fun strung a clothes-line in the backyard on a pole and hooks that had obviously been used in the past for this. He also trimmed some of the ice-plant and replanted the trimmings in another part of the yard. We saw the "Taylor's Window Washing" crew across our street and a couple of doors down, so Mr. Fun went to inquire about having them clean our windows and it wasn't long and they were washing our front windows.
When that was over we put the leashes on the dogs and took them for a walk to the beach. We didn't go down onto the sand, we just stayed in the overlook deck area and watched for a while. We could clearly see the south and north points of Estero Bay.
As a couple of horses and their riders rode past, I hollered, "Look!" We just never see horses on the beaches in southern California, especially in Orange County where we've seen the shore most of our lives.
We could also see a kite surfer and lots of people on the beach, which we've rarely seen here.
As we headed back toward the house, we stopped at the small "super market" to get a few necessary items for dinner on our way past there then we walked on to home.
I'm sure we spent several late afternoon hours just sitting in our front room, looking at the view. This has been a relaxing and good day.
Good night from California's Central Coast.
