Sunset trips

I promise to ease up on the sunsets but this lovely period of warmth - and the dog sitting - means that we are out walking a lot more in the evening and are catching the evening light. As yesterday the greyish skies cleared away.

The joy is to stroll out at ten o clock with the temperature around 18 - 20 oC. Not the great heat down south is getting but just pleasant. Tonight's walk was on the Braids where there were one or two groups of golfers still out, the courses so quiet compared to what Muirfield will be like from tomorrow for the Open. The light was not good enough to do the views justice, with the greens overlooking the Castle and the city.

To the west the light offered artistic opportunities with grasses silhouetted against the setting sun. But I particularly liked this view of the two (soon to be three) Forth Bridges and the landing plane catching the sun's rays.

This time I've marked where I took the photo from as opposed to last night's attempt to locate the horizon point!
