Ruby throat fledgling
This poor little sweetie was sitting on the same branch for the longest time just peeping. We think his parents probably just stopped feeding and he /she is still trying to call and get their attention. I hope he figures it out soon though flowers will be around for a few more weeks it will need to be moving south soon. This little one is from Montezuma NWR . We went up today in the hopes of seeing some migrating shorebirds but no such luck . Yesterday they saw a ruff, today , loads of great egrets, a few herons and gallinules galore. Such are the vagaries of birding.
