At work all day, but with thoughts very much set on Wednesday's departure from these shores, for a short while at least.

My priority was buying some new books for the trip - and afterwards too obviously, given the quantity...

First up - Oxfam Books yielded titles by Douglas Coupland, Martin Amis, Simon Felice, Tessa Hadley, John Burnside and Jon McGregor.

A trip into town after work to peruse the '2 for £7' selections in HMV gave me Carrie Brownstein, Ray Bradbury, Nick Cave and Paul Auster.

Which ones to take? Perm 5 from 10?*
